Teen Summer Camp: Japanese Language, Culture & The Ultimate Ramen Week!

Looking for an extraordinary summer experience that combines culture, language, and amazing food? The Edmonton Japanese Community Association (EJCA) is thrilled to welcome teenagers to our highly anticipated, week-long Japanese Summer Camp!

Our camp is specifically designed for teens who want to dive into the vibrant world of Japan through high-energy, hands-on activities. It’s not just a language class—it’s a memorable summer adventure where campers make lifelong friends and discover the rich traditions of Japan.

✨ 2026 Special Theme: The Ultimate Ramen Experience!

Ramen is a global favorite, and this year, we are taking it to the next level. Campers will learn to make different styles and flavors of authentic ramen every single day! From crafting the perfect broth to understanding regional varieties, your teen will become a true ramen connoisseur.

• Bonus : By the end of the week, your will have the skills and confidence to recreate these delicious, authentic ramen bowls at home for the whole family to enjoy!

Camp Highlights Include:

• Daily Culinary Workshops: Cooking and tasting various flavors of Ramen!

• Martial Arts: Feel the energy and discipline with a traditional Karate session.

• Traditional Arts: Discover the elegance of Ikebana (Flower Arranging) and the tranquility of a Japanese Tea Ceremony.

• Fun Language Lessons: Learn practical Japanese through immersive games, stories, and collaborative group activities.

No prior Japanese experience is needed—just curiosity and enthusiasm! Whether your teen is an absolute beginner or already an anime/culture fan, this camp will be the highlight of their summer.

Camp Details:

• Date: August 17 – August 21, 2026

• Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• Location: EJCA Centre (6750 88th Street, Edmonton)

• Capacity: 16 campers max  

• Target Age: Children born between 2008 and 2013

• Cost: $330 (Sibling Discount: 2nd child is $290)

• Cancellation Policy:

  • Full refund for personal cancellations made by midnight on July 28, 2026. No refunds after this date.

  • Full refund will be provided if the camp is cancelled by EJCA due to insufficient registration or other unforeseen reasons.
