Welcome to our Language Exchange Group!

This group is for anyone studying English or Japanese and looking to improve through real conversation. Each session gives you the chance to talk with a native speaker of the language you're learning—no teachers, just friendly one-on-one practice.

How it works:

  • Each meeting has two 30-minute sessions
  • In each session, you'll spend 15 minutes speaking in English and 15 minutes in Japanese
  • You’ll be paired with a new partner for each session
  • Everything is done online, so you can join from anywhere!

Whether you're just starting out or already fluent, this is a great way to build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy language learning together.


Language Exchange（ランゲージ・エクスチェンジ）へようこそ！

このグループは、英語または日本語を勉強している人のための交流の場です。勉強している言語のネイティブスピーカーと1対1で会話することで、実践的な練習ができます。先生はいません。お互いに教え合いながら楽しく話しましょう！

ミーティングの流れ：

  • 毎回、30分×2セッション
  • 1セッションの中で、英語15分＋日本語15分
  • 毎回パートナーが変わります
  • オンラインで参加できます！

初心者の方も、会話力を伸ばしたい方も大歓迎！リラックスした雰囲気の中で、言語だけでなく新しいつながりも作りましょう。


Platforms We Use

Most of our club communication—meeting sign-ups, announcements, and casual chatting—happens on Discord.

If you’re not familiar with Discord, don’t worry! It’s a free app (available on PC, Mac, and smartphones) that makes it easy to stay connected with the group.

Meetings Are Held on Zoom

Our language exchange sessions are hosted online using Zoom, a free and easy-to-use video chat app. Before the meeting, you'll get a Zoom link through Discord.

ミーティングはZoomで行います

言語交換のセッションは、Zoom（ズーム） という無料のビデオ通話アプリを使ってオンラインで行われます。
ミーティングの前に、Discordを通してZoomリンクをお送りします。

Zoomを使ったことがない方も心配いりません！
アカウントを作らなくても簡単に参加できます。

Language Exchange Guidelines:

Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and focused environment for language learning and cultural exchange. Please follow these guidelines so everyone can have a positive experience.

  1. Please switch languages when the scheduled time for each language ends so that everyone has a fair opportunity to practice.

  2. Please avoid discussing politics or religion to keep the environment comfortable and inclusive for everyone.

  3. Respect personal boundaries. Please avoid overly personal questions and keep conversations appropriate and learning-focused.

  4. If you choose to practice outside of the event, we strongly recommend using neutral platforms such as Zoom or our Discord's voice channel rather than personal social media, to help maintain healthy boundaries.

  5. Participants who behave inappropriately may not be invited to future events.

  6. If you have feedback, concerns, or suggestions, please anonymously share them here.

言語交流ガイドライン

本イベントは、言語学習と文化交流のための安全で、尊重し合える、集中できる環境をつくることを目的としています。すべての参加者が安心して楽しめるよう、以下のガイドラインをお守りください。

1. 各言語の予定時間が終了したら、公平に練習できるように言語を切り替えてください。

2. 誰もが快適に参加できるよう、政治や宗教に関する話題はご遠慮ください。

3. 個人の境界を尊重してください。 過度に個人的な質問は避け、会話は学習目的にふさわしい内容にしてください。

4. イベント外で練習する場合は、健全な境界を保つため、個人のSNSではなく、Zoom や Discord のボイスチャンネルなどの中立的なプラットフォームのご利用を強くおすすめします。

5. 不適切な行動が確認された場合、今後のイベントにご参加いただけなくなる場合があります。

6. ご意見・ご不安な点・ご提案がありましたら、こちらから匿名でお知らせください.
